Si daca numele din diagrama, care ia in considerare doar ultimii trei presedinti ai SUA, vi se par cam multe, trebuie spus ca autorul a neglijat altele. De pilda, Robert Wenzel scrie ca Neal Kashkari, seful Biroului de Stabilitate Financiara, institutia care a cumparat active toxice ale Goldman Sachs si ale altor banci in mijlocul crizei, a lucrat bineinteles la aceeasi institutie, insa nu apare in imagine. Intr-o situatie identica este consilierul actualului sef al trezeroriei, care provine din stabilimentul de pe Wall-Street, unde a indeplinit acelasi rol. Se pare ca nici Larry Summers, actualul sef al National Economic Council, nu este strain de banii Goldman Sachs. Nu uitati ca si presedintele Bancii Central Europene are in CV acelasi loc de munca. La fel si Romano Prodi... Asa ca e de inteles, pe undeva, furia miscarilor OWS doar ca strategia si obiectivele stangii au intotdeauna darul de a agrava lucrurile in loc de a le rezvola. In cazul de fata, taxarea si reglementarea suplimentara a bancilor sau chiar nationalizarea lor nu ar face decat sa acorde mai multa putere statului si actualului cartel, deoarece reglementarile functioneaza in general in sensul obstructionarii intrarii unor noi jucatori pe o piata. Iar statul nu poate fi niciodata un instrument neutru de “agregare” a preferintelor individuale, ci va fi intotdeauna un paravan pentru interesele private ale diverselor grupuri. In concluzie, singura sansa de reforma a statului o reprezinta minimizarea lui, iar in cazul bancilor solutia este renuntarea la legislatia de tip “tender law” si la rezervele fractionare. Altfel, bancherii, asfaltatorii, producatorii de masini si alte factiuni privilegiate vor reusi in permanenta sa impuna publicului propria agenda.
