Si, intra-adevar, unul dintre modelele incontestabile pentru cele mai nefaste organizatii ale modernitatii l-a constituit Societatea lui Isus. Aceasta constatare transanta nu are nimic de-a face cu interpretarile conspirationiste, fara niciun temei empiric solid, care vad mana iezuitilor in tot si toate. Ea se bazeaza doar pe afirmatiile encomiastice si practica mimetica ale unor promotori universal recunoscuti ai totalitarismului si pe logica interna a ordinului, asa cum reiese foarte limpede din scrierile lui Ignatiu de Loyola. Chiar si un romantic exaltat, precum Novalis, simtea natura teribil de impersonala a iezuitismului si capacitatea sa de a fi un model perfect pentru orice alta asociatie cu pretentii globale: “Never had the carrying out of a greater idea been considered with greater understanding. For all time, this Society will be an example to every society which feels an organic longing for infinite extension and eternal duration”. Cu alte cuvinte, ceea ce imi propun sa arat nu este o influenta singulara a Societatii in mentalul unor casapi moderni, ci iluminarea produsa de povestea de succes a iezuitilor, in special asupra unor nihilisti diferiti ca orientare politica. Decaderea contemporana a ordinului- transformat dintr-o fortareata conservatore a Vaticanului in coloana a cincea a marxismului economic si cultural, sustinator al avortului, hirotonosirii femeilor, minoritatilor sexuale (vezi si recentele pozitii ale Papei Franncisc I)- nu schimba cu nimic esenta problemei. Ba chiar, poate explica de ce elita “fara vointa si fara judecata” a catolicismului a sucombat sub presiunea unor stimulente externe si a coruptiei interne. Edgar Quinet, un ateist tipic pentru sec. XIX, se intreba exasperat, la un moment dat, dar nu fara o oarecare indreptatire: “Aratati-mi un suflet crestin in toti acestia (iezuiti –n.r.)! ”. Si, intr-adevar, trasatura principala a iezuitilor era tocmai absenta unor caracteristici personale, stergerea oricarui contur propriu, anihilarea vointei si a constiintei. Adica, acele date mai subtile, care l-ar fi putut face si pe un umanist fara Dumnezeu sa vorbeasca de suflet. Insa ceea ce pentru adversari reprezenta o slabiciune, pentru Ignatiu de Loyola, canonizat de Vatican, in anul 1622, insemna adevaratul triumf al ordinului: o societate piramidala, compusa din indivizi malebili “precum ceara”, obedienti si dedicati schimbarii lumii din jurul lor. “I must let myself be led and moved as a lump of wax lets itself be kneaded. I must be as a dead man’s corpse without will or judgment; as a little crucifix which lets itself be moved without difficulty from one place to another; as a staff in the hand of an old man, to be placed where he whishes and where he can best make use of me. Thus, I must always be ready to hand, so the Order may use me and apply me in the way that to him seems good”. Cuvintele de mai sus nu provin din carticica activistului de partid comunist, nici din manualul intern al unitatilor SS si nici din newsletterul departamentului de HR al vreunei corporatii. Desi toate aceste organizatii ar gasi multe puncte comune intr-o astfel de abordare. Nu, cuvintele ii apartin lui Ignatiu de Loyola si descriu idealul de obedienta al iezuitului. Ceea ce le face sa fie exceptionale pentru un ordin religios nu este ideea de obedienta cadaverica, o trasatura obisnuita si fireasca in monahism, ci scopul pentru care este folosita aceasta subordonare a vointei proprii. Pentru calugarul obisnuit, renuntarea la vrerea personala insemna o conditie esentiala catre starpirea patimii mandriei, o halta esentiala in drumul catre mantuire. Pentru iezuit, insa, scopul il constituia transformarea lumii acesteia si a ordinului intr-o masinarie perfecta, compusa din indivizi intersanjabili, dedicati in totalitate unui plan universal, indreptat catre imanent, gloria Papalitatii. Lenin, probabil cel mai intuitiv fan al Societatii, declara spre sfarsitul vietii ca, daca ar fi avut la dispozitie 12 oameni de calibrul primilor iezuiti, ar fi infaptuit cu lejeritate revolutia comunista mondiala. Martin Malachi, un iezuit apostat, dar care nu s-a dezis niciodata de invataturile si exemplul lui Ignatiu, a rezumat excelent filozofia comuna din spatele comunistilor si iezuitilor: “What Loyola and Lenin both understood, then, was that you must reach out by means of alluring images to possess the minds and the imaginations of individuals, for it is through their minds that you grip and control their wills. With that tight union of wills at your disposal, history is your for the making” (“The jesuits”). Inainte de Lenin, un alt fanatic rus, Serghei Neceaev, descoperea cu incantare perspectiva iezuita si o adapta la idealurile terorismului anarhic. “The revolutionary is a dedicated man. He has no interests of his own, no affairs, no feelings, no attachments, no belongings, not even a name. Everything in him is absorbed by a single exclusive interest, a single thought, a single passion - the revolution”. Daca inlocuiesti “revolutionar” cu “iezuit”, pasajul ar fi putut la fel de bine iesi din mana lui Ignatiu de Loyola, deoarece spiritul este acelasi. Bakunin, pentru o perioada mentorul lui Neceaev, gasea terifianta traiectoria ideologica a pupilului sau: “He came to the conclusion that if he was to form a strong organization he would have to base it on the principle of Machiavelli and the motto of the Jesuits: “Violence for the body, lies for the soul””. Ar fi gresit sa credem ca ideile Societatii au prins doar in Rusia. In Germania sfarsitului de secol XVIII, Adam Weishaupt, creatorul ordinului Iluminatilor, a avut de la bun inceput ideea de a crea o asociatie-oglinda a Iezuitilor. Structura si metodele organizatiei erau copiate cu fidelitate din practica Societatii lui Isus. Accentul final cadea natural pe obedienta individului si subordonarea completa in raport cu grupul. Seturi complexe de intrebari erau puse celor admisi in ordin pentru a le testa maleabilitatea, iar intruziunea in viata membrilor mergea pana la observatii privind viata de alcov. Era o versiune secularizata a marturisirilor iezuite. “Weishaupt…heartily hated the Jesuits, and formed his league of Illuminati with the expressed intention of using for good ends the means which the Jesuit order had employed for the bad” (Rene Fullop Miller). In acest context mi se pare legitima intrebarea daca nu exista o problema in sine cu acele mijloace, (reeducare completa a individului) care in cele din urma va afecta scopurile? In alta ordine de idei, cel mai devotat admirator al iezuitilor a fost, probabil, Heinrich Himmler, alintat de Hiter cu apelativul “Ignatiu de Loyola al nostru”. Admiratia sa pentru societate nu s-a limitat doar la colectia unor carti despre Societate, ci a mers pana la studiul intensiv al “Exercitiilor spirituale”, alaturi de ofiterii superiori ai SS, intr-un castel medieval. De altfel, chiar organizatia al carei lider era Himmler pare a fi fost modelata dupa modelul infailibil al iezuitilor. Inclusiv Hitler i-a marturisit lui Herman Rauschning ca tot ceea ce invatase in materie de organizatii preluase de la Societatea creata de Ignatiu. Astazi, ordinul proiectat de un catolic basc in urma cu cateva secole,se afla intr-o ruina spirituala si morala, imbratisand cu aceeasi ardoare evolutionismul, marxismul si multe alte forme de relativism, in timp ce iezuitii de rand ocupa posturi in guverne comuniste din lumea a treia. Politic, insa, lucrurile nu au mers nicicand mai bine, iar pentru prima data in istorie Societatea are nu doar un Papa Negru. S-ar putea spune ca, in cele din urma, nici macar regulile pentru o organizatie perfecta, desenate de Ignatiu, nu au putut salva de la decadere iezuitii si Vaticanul. Asta daca, intr-adevar, e vorba de decadere… |
