De pilda, prima presupozitie, cu o acoperire larga si o variatie pe masura, tinteste caracterul sacrosant al actiunii umane individuale. Intr-o interpretare plebee, acest principiu stipuleaza ca fiecare are dreptul sa faca tot ceea ce vrea, cat timp nu-l agreseaza pe cel de langa el sau bunurile sale. In literatura libertariana, teoria poarta numele de principul non-agresiunii, iar dintr-un rezumat celebru al lui John Stuart Mill aflam ca “libertatea pumnului tau se opreste unde incepe nasul meu”. Problemele acestui principiu sunt multiple, iar ca standard minimal poate reprezenta un inceput de discutie onest, insa principala hiba o constituie, asa cum a punctat excelent, undeva, prietenul meu C., separarea unei presupuse virtuti a non-agresiunii din pachetul mai mult sau mai putin complet al virtutilor. “Cine nu le urmareste 'la pachet' nu urmareste de fapt nici una”. Ideea ca oamenii vor internaliza doar respectarea acestui principiu sau a altuia la fel de minimal, punandu-le in paranteze pe celelalte, desprinse de orice traditie morala, este o utopie in sine. Nici macar una foarte atractiva, daca idealul il constituie o comunitate de indivizii care au doar acest lucru in comun. Adeptii unei astfel de teorii vor avea foarte putine lucruri de spus cu sens, in legatura cu alte chestiuni, potrivit propriei filozofii. “I don't punch people for no reason isn't the beginning and end of a decent human life”, afirma si libertarianul catolic Thomas Woods. Nu se poate construi nimic solid pe aceste premise, iar rezultatele practice merg aproape invariabil in directia libertinismului, care, in cele din urma, ajunge sa mature pe jos inclusiv cu pretentia de nonagresiune. Sau cum se exprima astazi adeptii corectitudinii politice: “nu vom tolera intoleranta” (aceasta din urma fiind orice expresie de dezaprobare a religiei PC). O a doua presupozitie fundamentala o constituie caracacterul autonom al artei, in raport cu valorile morale, si relativ, in raport cu standardele estetice, oricare ar fi ele, in cazul in care exista. Practic, totul se reduce la originalitatea nestavilita a artistului. A incerca sa omologhezi o creatie artistica si prin incarcatura morala ultragiaza sensibilitatile contemporane. “Este evident ca idealul romantic al artei de dragul artei inseamna, in lumea reala, arta de dragul senzatiilor”, scria, pe la inceptul secolului trecut, Irving Babbitt, comentand si anticipand explozia de cacofonii “artistice”. Arta golita din capul locului de continut etic reprezinta cel mai bun vehicul pentru a dinamita politic prejudecatile si conceptiile “invechite”. Nu e nimic neobisnuit in faptul ca artistii cei mai libertini sunt portdrapelul celor mai radicale ideologii. In final, singurul sens pe care il mai poate avea arta este de propaganda a ideologiei oficiale. Castigatorul Eurovision, care nu e o manifestare artistica, dar trece drept arta pop, a declarat ca dedica victoria “tuturor celor care cred intr-un viitor al pacii si libertatii; suntem de neoprit”. Bineinteles ca pentru cei care prefera libertatea de a spune “nu”, viitorul se opreste undeva mult mai devreme. In alta ordine de idei, dar in aceeasi lume reala, relativismul estetic conduce aproape in mod necesar la o dictatura a “expertilor” a si “specialistilor” care vor decide prin ucaz atat directia de urmat, cat si omologarea stricta a capodoperelor, in contradictie cu intuitii dintre cele mai banale. Cat timp este relativism, fiecare are in principiu o sansa, insa, in fapt, singurul lucru promovat este nihilismul. O a treia presupozitie importanta in configuratia mentala a modernului o reprezinta ideea unei societatii deschise. Cu alte cuvinte, nu ar trebui sa existe intr-o societate valori care sa fie imune la examenul critic al indivizilor. Fiecare persoana poate chestiona bazele sociale, iar comunitatea va beneficia de pe urma acestei evaluari constante, urmand, se presupune, un model din stiintele naturii. Lasand la o parte alte probleme semnificative, teoria in sine este auto-ruinatoare logic, iar in practica duce invariabil la despotism soft, in prima faza. De asemenea, ignora date antropologice primare. “There are some things in which the group needs to believe which cannot be demonstrated to everyone rationally. Their acceptance is pressed upon us by a kind of moral imperative arising from the group as a whole. To put them to the test of the dialectic alone is to destroy the basis of belief in them and to weaken the cohesiveness of society” (Richard Weaver – The Cultural Role of Rhetoric). Nicio societate nu poate trece testul unei culturi a criticii, iar prejudecatile Whig, care incalzesc egoul contemporanilor, mandri de libertatile noastre nelimitate, nu sunt altceva decat prejudecati. Incercati sa afirmati, doar de dragul scandalului, ceva mai putin sanatos pentru un progresivist si asteptati reactia apoi. Nu va fi deloc ceva foarte politicos. Nu in ultimul rand, o presupozitie “de bun simt” este ca nu exista conspiratii. Premiile la concursuri se acorda natural unor persoane nenaturale, artistii la moda au doar intamplator aceeasi ideologie, nu exista o strategie oculta pentru impunerea unei agende politice si morale, samd. Exista doar indivizii si alegerile lor…. |




Indignarea naturala a oamenilor in fata unui manifest politic-corect, afisat sub barba falsa a unei creaturi patetice, trece sub tacere cateva presupozitii problematice. Chestionarea presupozitiilor ar trebui sa sfarseasca intr-o “criza epistemologica”, atat timp cat se poate demonstra ca rezultatul unor astfel de asumptii conduce in mod direct la “desfiintarea omului”. Nu stiu cati sunt cei care, confruntati cu inevitabilele consecinte ale modernitatii, iau in serios paradigma in sine, cu fundaturile de rigoare, dar cred ca o etalare a catorva teze contemporane, relevante in cazul de fata, dar nenegociabile in ansamblu, cu problemele lor iminente, ar putea sa faca inutile cateva discutii pe marginea unor preferinte pur subiective.
